Chiropractic Adjustments
Because healing is a process, follow through is essential for successful Chiropractic treatment. Your initial consultation is a comprehensive exam which includes an evaluation of posture, muscle function, spinal alignment, flexibility and mobility; an assessment of nerve interference and accumulated stress; and an observation of any abnormal reflex patterns.
Your first visit will include any adjustments and therapeutic modalities as appropriate. Follow up appointments will support the foundation of the initial exam findings through corrective adjustments of the vertebrae, as well as other supportive therapies.
Electrical Stimulation
This treatment is a Chiropractic treatment in which electrodes are placed on the skin. These electrodes send light electrical pulses which will reduce inflammation and reduce muscle spasms, relieving back pain.
Spinal Decompression
What is Decompression Therapy?
Spinal decompression therapy is a modern, nonsurgical traction procedure that effectively treats disabling low back, neck, radiating leg & arm pain. This type of traction is very successful in relieving pain associated with spinal disc herniation, degenerative spinal discs, and facet joint syndromes. Spinal decompression therapy decompresses spinal discs and facet joints by utilizing traction, distraction and body positioning.
Using our Triton Decompression Traction System, in conjunction with other physical therapy treatments provided in our clinic, can effectively relieve the pain and disability resulting from disc injury and degeneration. The treatment aids in the healing of damaged discs and reverses dystrophic changes in nerves. The Triton DTS treats the functional and mechanical aspects of spinal disc pain through non-surgical traction (decompression) of spinal discs. This system is designed to apply distraction and decompression to the patient’s spine without producing reflex paravertebral muscle contractions.
By significantly reducing internal disc pressure, the Triton DTS promotes retraction of the herniation spinal disc material back to a normal physiologic position and promotes the intake of fluids, oxygen and other substances necessary for healing the spinal disc and surrounding tissues. This decompression stimulates the repair of tissues and inhibits leakage of the internal material of the spinal disc.
Cold Laser Treatment
Cold Laser Treatment utilizes certain wavelengths of light to interact with tissue which can help accelerate healing. The laser, which is a handheld devise, is placed directly over the injured area for a short period of time.

Impulse adjustment is a technique which provides controlled treatment to a specific area. The use of a handheld impulse instrument creates gentle chiropractic adjustment and are safe for patients of all ages. It allows for targeted adjustments and is very precise. It is often used rather than traditional manual methods.
Massage Therapy
At the Baxter Clinic we use massage therapy as a compliment to chiropractic care. Massage therapy is done both before and after a chiropractic adjustment. Because massage therapy is good for the nervous system and relaxes muscles, it allows for chiropractic adjustments to be more effective.
